Bill was born December 11, 1927 in Flandreau, SD to Robert L. and Ruth (Babcock) Bennett. He grew up in Flandreau and graduated from Egan High School. He worked as a truck driver, cabinet builder, and farmer; and enjoyed woodworking. He married Georgia Murphy in 1997. They moved to Claremore six years ago from Elkton, SD. William was a member of Central Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; son, David (Kathi) Bennett of Elkton; step-son, Chris (Tonya) McClain of Claremore; daughters: Karen (Stephen) McGinnis of Virginia Beach, VA, JoLynn Brouwer of Brandon, Marsha (Roger) Johnson of Fandreau, and Barbara (Randy) Lepper of Plattsmouth, NE; step-daughters: Sharon (Joe) Yates of Pryor, Tami (Clayton) Fasgold of Ardmore, Ronda (Thomas) Scott of Tulsa; sister, Donna Malone of Brandon; 35 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday with an 11 AM Funeral Service all at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, SD.
