Wayne F. "Buddy" McMahon, 76, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his home under hospice care. He was born August 30, 1934 in Pipestone, MN to Bernard and Sylvia (Gothier) McMahon. He graduated from Flandreau High School in 1954 and then worked at Dale's Firestone for 20 years from 1958-1979. Buddy married Diane Astorino on October 18, 1961 in Flandreau. He went to work for Sioux Valley Electric in April of 1979 and worked there for 18 years retiring in April of 1997. His wife preceded him in death on September 25, 1988. Buddy married Janet Delaney on July 30, 1993 in Flandreau. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, was a volunteer fireman in Flandreau for 25 years and owned and operated Bud's Lawn Boy Service for 20 plus years. Buddy loved fishing trips to Canada, riding his scooter and coffee with friends.

Buddy is survived by his wife Janet; daughter Julie (Brad) Jones, Roseau, MN; four stepsons Dale Delaney, Corpus Christi, TX, Scott Delaney, Buffalo, WY, Shawn (Chris) Delaney, Casper, WY and Rob (Athena) Delaney, Franktown, CO; six step-grandchildren, four nieces, a nephew and two sisters-in-law, Pat Meyer, Apache, Junction, AZ and Phyllis McMahon, Fairmount, ND. He was preceded in death by his wife Diane, parents and brother Jerry.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the United Methodist Church with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel with the family present from 5:00-7:00 pm.
