Obituary

Wayne Leo Bowen, Jr., age 64, was born on August 15, 1955, in Hendricks, MN to Wayne, Sr. and Lois (Albers) Bowen.  He also lived in Bradley, South Shore, Milbank, Sioux Falls, and Nassau.  Wayne attended high school in Milbank, South Dakota.  He served in the United States Army in Vietnam and was very proud of his service to our country.  Wayne was an over-the-road truck driver for 43 years.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, classic rock music, attending car shows, and spending time with his family and friends.  He liked to tell jokes and stories and make people laugh.  Wayne had a huge, caring heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone.

Wayne passed away on July 1, 2020, at the St. Cloud Hospital due to medical complications.  He is survived by his significant other Linda, daughter Jessica and her family, son Justin and grandson Zane, brothers Ron (Joyce), Mike (Joyce), other relatives, and many wonderful friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brothers Dean, Tom, and James and a sister Patricia.

Wayne was cremated per his wishes.  There will be a celebration of his life at the home of Jim and Deb Call at 2592 191st Avenue, Madison, MN on August 15 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  A private family burial will be held at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Cemetery in Flandreau, SD at a later date.
