Walter C. Adolph, 67, of Flandreau, SD, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD. Walt was born February 26, 1952 at Clear Lake, SD, to Orville and Doris (Veneklasen) Adolph. His family moved to Rapid City, SD, and moved to Elkton, SD, when Walt was in junior high. Walt graduated from Elkton High School in 1970 where he was all-state football and participated in track. He attended college and got a BS from SDSU. Walt married Georgia Mason September 2, 1978 at Platte, SD. Walt worked as a welder at Twin City Fan and currently worked at Lowe's in the millwork division. He was involved with the Rodeo Club in Brookings, loved his quarter horses, reading, building things with his hands, and attending SDSU football and basketball events.

Walt is survived by his wife Georgia; two children, Melissa (Jacob) Sober, Yigo, Guam; Eric, Brookings; three grandchildren, Madilynn and Mason Sober, Kaylee Haugen; brother Steve (Marlene) Adolph, Whitewood, SD and sister Cindy Adolph, Brookings. Walt was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, July 8, 2019 at Second Presbyterian Church, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
