Verlo Brown, 74, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Golden Living Center Covington Heights in Sioux Falls. She was born March 4, 1940 on a farm north of Elkton, SD to Roy and Elsie (Jensen) Brown. She was raised in Elkton and baptized at Elkton United Methodist Church where she was a member. Verlo later moved to Sioux Falls where she lived most of her life. Verlo is survived by her daughter Melanie Caruthers, Sioux Falls, sister Barb Ellen Wilking, Sioux Falls and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Melvin Brown, Leroy Brown, Mavis Diedrich, son-in-law Ted and her parents.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 22, 2014 at United Parish of Elkton with burial in the Elkton City Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral service. Cards may be sent to Melanie Caruthers, 2522 W 41 ^st St #116, Sioux Falls, SD 57105.
