Steve Schipper, 60, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Riverview Health Services. Steve was born August 24, 1953 in Flandreau, SD to Ukeus and Edna (Christians) Schipper. He graduated from Flandreau High School in 1971. Steve married Karen Schmidt in 1972 and they had two children. He owned his truck and was in the family trucking business for 45 years. Steve married Rosie Bunker in 2001. He loved to read western books and watch western movies.

Steve is survived by his wife Rosie, mother Edna, both of Flandreau, son Travis (Becky), Cherokee, IA, daughter Lehni Otto, Flandreau, five grandchildren, Cael, Tynan, Johnalin, Micah, Rylah, two brothers, Clayton (LeAnn) Schipper, Flandreau, Lloyd (Jeannette) Schipper, Sioux Falls, sister Lorinda (Dennis) Bell, Tea, SD, sister-in-law Pam Schipper, Flandreau and many nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his dad Case, two brothers, Loren and Cameron, and nephew Troy.

Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Skroch Funeral Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service and burial in Lone Rock Cemetery. Following the burial there will be a celebration of life at BJ's.
