Shirley Ross Peterson, 75, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at North Oaks Medical Center, Ponchatoula, LA. She was born on March 7, 1940, in Ridgely, Maryland, daughter of the late Leon and Margaret Kyle Ross. Shirley is survived by her husband of 51 years, Peter Peterson, one son, Jeff Peterson, 2 granddaughters, Sarah Peterson Moore (Randall), and Kim Peterson, She was preceded in death by her sister, Colleen Ross Baker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Elkton, SD, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Elkton. Visitation will be prior to the service.
