Shirley M. Hansen, 79, of Arlington, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Arlington Care Center, Arlington, SD. Shirley Mae Hansen was born in Sioux Falls, SD on February 23, 1942 to John and Elva (Bothern) Hansen. She was raised in Lake County, SD and graduated in 1960 from Rutland High School. She married John Jorenby on August 13, 1960. Shirley moved to Durango, CO and worked at K-Mart until 2003 when she started working at Walmart in Durango until  retiring on March 25, 2020. She moved to Volga, SD on April 25, 2020 and lived there until entering the Arlington Care Center.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Tamara Jorenby, Bozeman, MT and Tracey (Scott) Mayland, Casper, WY; 5 grandsons, 2 great-grandsons; siblings: Elaine Schultz, Sioux Falls; Dorothy "Dee" (Rick) Vostad, Volga; Glen (Jill) Hansen, Ames, IA and Lynn (Trish) Hansen, Volga. She was preceded in death by a son Terrance; grandson Dalton Jorenby, parents and 2 brothers, Kenneth and Larry.

Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, SD with visitation beginning at noon preceding the service. Livestream will be available on www.skrochfc.com website.
