Shelly M. Broghammer, 39, Colman, SD passed away unexpectantly Friday, April 23, 2021 at her home. Shelly was born on May 29, 1981 at Marion, SD. She was raised in foster homes and attended school in Marion. She attended Job Corps in Nemo, SD and obtained her GED. She worked several jobs and raised her daughter Myranda. Shelly attended Killian Community College, Sioux Falls and got a criminal justice degree. She worked as a dispatcher for the Lake County Sheriff's Department and then managed convenience stores in Garretson and Dell Rapids, SD.  Shelly married Roger Broghammer May 3, 2008 at Wentworth, SD. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wentworth, and Partners for Policy. Shelly enjoyed card games, camping, Mickey Mouse, watching movies and her favorite flower was sunflowers.

Shelly is survived by her husband Roger; daughter Myranda Moad Broghammer and friend Jesse; step-children, Kassy (Josh) Olson, Nunda; Kyle Broghammer, Colman; Tyler (Nikki) Broghammer, Rapid City, SD; four grandchildren, Kadyn, Rylen, Collyns, Sophie and numerous foster brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wentworth, SD with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Wentworth. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Colman, with a 7:00 pm prayer service.
