Shawne Rislov 55, of Flandreau, SD passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022. Shawne was born on May 1, 1967, to Odean and Marleen (Swenson) Rislov. Shawne graduated from Jasper High School and later graduated from South Dakota State University, with honors, with a major in sociology. Shawne had her first daughter, Shaya, in 1986. Shawne then met Todd Taylor in 1990 and they had two children together - Caitlyn and Dylan. Shawne loved children and spent many years running a home daycare. After closing the daycare, she worked at Healthy Start, where she helped many families in the community. Shawne spent many years with her partner Dave Dwelle, who she called her "Music Man". Shawne loved music and was an avid concert goer. She also loved to color, watch movies, and spend time with her grandchildren, Ronin and Ary.

Shawne is survived by her daughter Shaya (Kevin), son Dylan (Sammy), grandchildren, Aryanna and Ronin, mother Marleen, and siblings - Vicki (Jerry), Stephanie (Paul), Darcy (Dave), and Darin. Shawne was preceded in death by her father Odean Rislov, her daughter Caitlyn Taylor, and partner Dave Dwelle.

CHANGE OF LOCATION OF VISITATION AND SERVICE

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am preceding the service at the chapel.
