Sharon Rae Therese Henning, 76, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Riverview Health Services, Flandreau, SD. She was born October 2, 1937 in Sioux Falls, SD to Ray and Viola (Fish) Hennings. She graduated from Cathedral High School. Sharon married Carl Henning on October 12, 1957 in Sioux Falls. She worked at Newberry's and then for Northwestern Bell. Sharon lived most of her life in Sioux Falls and moved to Colman in 2003. She loved to spend time with her family, read, garden and feed the birds. She also loved watching football, spending her days with her kitty cat and visiting with her girlfriends.

Sharon is survived by three children, Kevin (Maria) Henning, Sioux Falls, Kelly (Robbi) Schmidt, Flandreau, Kip (Debbie) Henning, Waco, TX, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Kathy (Jerry) Pehrson, Cokato, MN, brother Greg (Sue) Hennings, Clever, MO, brother-in-law Ken Olson, Sioux Falls and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jackie Olson and special friend Blaine.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, March 28, 2014 at The Rescue Church in Colman, SD with burial at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Sioux Falls. Visitation is from 6:00-7:30 pm Thursday at The Rescue Church in Colman.
