Flandreau – Sharon F.W. Myers "Mahpiya He Zi Win", 53, died Thursday at the Flandreau Medical Center. She was born Nov. 25, 1954 in Flandreau to Elmer and Vera (Heminger) Weston. She received her education in Flandreau, graduating from the Flandreau Indian School in 1973. She attended Dakota State University in Madison and graduated in 1977. Sharon married Doug Forman in Flandreau and worked at McKennan Hospital in Medical Records as a transcriptionist. Sharon married David Myers on August 21, 2004 in Flandreau. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and quilting. She is survived by
her husband, David; 2 sons, David and Daniel, both of Flandreau; 3 daughters, Brenda Weston, Flandreau, Lacy End of Horn, Brookings and Jo A. Myers, Balaton, MN; 9 grandchildren, Tyler, Sage, Hawk, Wyatt, Dylan, Pierce, Eric, Raymond and Cheyenne; her father, Elmer Weston, Flandreau; a brother, DuWayne and three sisters, Doreen (Bill) Bird, Sherry Weston and Cindy Weston all of Flandreau; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Vera; 3 brothers, Kenny, Lindsay and David, and her grandparents.
The Wake Service is at Eastman Hall, Flandreau, beginning Thursday night, January 31st and continuing until Saturday morning.
