Sandy J. Entringer, 47, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls due to complications from heart disease. Sandy was born December 9, 1963 in Watertown, SD to Eugene and Joan (Gaikowski) Ronke. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1982 and from Dakota State University in 1986 with a degree in Elementary Education. Sandy married Doug Entringer on July 26, 1986 in Florence, SD and they just celebrated their 25th Anniversary this summer. Sandy loved little kids and started her teaching career teaching preschool in Madison. She taught there for five years before staying at home to raise her three children Deon, April, and Mandy. In the fall of 1999 she started Sunshine Preschool in Colman where she shared her love of learning with many young area children. She also subbed part time for the Colman-Egan School District. Sandy loved spending time with her family and cheering her kids on in their many sporting events. She also loved teaching little kids, being a farm wife, gardening, and sitting at home on the deck with her family. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she taught CCD for many years and was also a member of Altar Society.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Doug, one son Deon, two daughters April and Mandy, her mother and stepfather Joan and Pike Hemp, Florence, her father and mother-in-law Ray and Grace Entringer, Colman, a sister Janine (Wayne) Stuwe, Hoven, three brothers Warren (Lisa) Ronke, Tyndall, Gene (Kristy) Ronke, Watertown, Dean (Jenny) Flemming, Madison, her beloved in-laws, Pat and Roger Nelson, Lake Norden, Pete and Julie Entringer, Colman, Carol and Dale Tjarks, Flandreau, Sandy and Mike Lovro, Colman, Pat Entringer, Colman and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Ronke, brother Wes Ronke, stepfather Bernard Flemming, brother-in-law, Mike Entringer, and nephew Quintin Stuwe.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Colman with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation begins 4:00 pm Monday at the church with the family present at 6:00 pm with a 7:00 pm scripture service.
