Samuel H. Allen, Jr., 40, passed away at his home in Flandreau, SD on Sunday, December 27, 2015. He was born July 18, 1975 in Flandreau to Samuel and Phylomine (Wolfe) Allen. Sam received his education at the Flandreau Public School. He worked at Royal River Casino. Sam was an avid reader and his best day would be spending all day at Barnes & Noble. He was a member of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe. Sam enjoyed hanging out with his brothers, music, messing around on the computer, and was a very private person.

Sam is survived by his father Samuel (Delores) Allen, Sr., mother Phylomine Houle, three brothers, Charles, Philip, and Robert, all of Flandreau, three sisters, Erika Allen, LaCrosse, WI, Amber Allen and Jackie Allen, both of Flandreau.

A traditional service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Eastman Hall, Flandreau.
