Rose M. Pray, 90, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Flandreau. Rose Mary (Bairos) Pray went home to be with the Lord on January 14, 2016. She was born at Swansea, MA on June 22, 1925 to Antonio and Maria Bairos. She married Bruce S. Pray, Sr. on October 30, 1948 at Hudson, MA. Rose, Bruce, and family lived in Massachusetts, New York, and Illinois prior to moving to Flandreau in 1969 where she remained until her death. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Flandreau. Rose faithfully served alongside her husband as he pastored churches for over 30 years. She was a loving and generous mother and grandmother who worked and prayed tirelessly on behalf of her family. Rose especially loved holding and caring for her grandbabies. While caring for her family, she also worked at Riverview Manor and Flandreau Cleaners. She was a friend and blessing to all who knew her, an encourager to the brokenhearted and downtrodden, a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Her Godly council and wisdom always lifted the spirits of those she encountered.

Rose is survived by five sons, Steven Pray, Stevens Point, WI, Ronald (Teah) Pray, Deadwood, SD, Bruce (Sue Ellen) Pray, Bennett, NE, Douglas Pray, Port Orchard, WA, Jerry Pray, Ferndale, WA, three daughters, Karen (Chuck) Hasvold, Hartford, SD, Shirley (Bruce) Jensen, Flandreau, Elsie (Ted) Garrison, Lake Stevens, WA, 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Rose is preceded by her husband Bruce, one son John, one granddaughter Summer, daughter-in-law Margie, her parents, and two brothers, Joe and Anthony.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 at Second Presbyterian Church, Flandreau with burial in Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
