Robert D. Reiser, 67, Brookings, passed away, Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home under hospice care. Robert was born July 2, 1950 at Mitchell, SD to Edward and Ardyth (Thompson) Reiser. He was educated at Gayville and Letcher, SD after which he served in the US army during the Viet Nam War. He attended vocational school and became a master welder. He married Brenda Fast on May 9, 1975 in Pasadena, TX. He worked as a welder and moved to Brookings in 1994 working at Prestrack and Excel. After Bob retired he worked part-time at Quality Tool. Robert loved to hunt, fish, read and watch western's, bake (pies) and especially watching his family grow up.
He is survived by four daughters, Angela (Tim) Hartman, Sioux Falls, LeAnna Thompson and Danielle Reiser, both of Brookings, Elizabeth Reiser, Ladson, SC; 6 grandchildren, CheyAnn Kuno, Shaylene and Nowella Thompson, Aubrey Shearer, Avery Butler, Alliahna Person, his Dad, Edward Reiser, Dayton, TX; 3 sisters, Mary (James) Patterson, Houston, TX, Gail Gray, Conroe, TX and Teresa Reiser, Dayton, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Anita and one brother, Norman.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
