Robert B. Johanson, 81, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls. Bob was born on February 2, 1933 to Carl and Gerda (Johnson) Johanson on the family farm where he was raised and lived his entire life. He attended Chamberlin Country School and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1951. He took over the family farm three miles west of Flandreau when he was eighteen. Bob married Sally Lacey on March 5, 1955 in Sioux Falls and they had six children. He enjoyed antiques, tractors, keeping the farm tidy and neat and family picnics. His wife preceded him in death on April 1, 2007. Bob was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and was a former school board member for Chamberlin Country School.

Bob is survived by five children; Debra Johanson, Flandreau, Kathy (Jeff) Dietrich, Luverne, MN, Randy (Deb), Flandreau, Brett (Kim), Flandreau, Marla (Gary) Lang, Sioux Falls, daughter-in-law Jodi, Flandreau, 17 grandchildren; Justin, Hannah, Cody, Sadie, Jacob, Bob, Matthew, Paige, Brooke, Kelly, Lane, Samantha, Nick, Kaitlin, David, Daniel, Grace, five great-grandchildren; Brynn, Tinley, Brett, Kaysi, Véda, and one sister Lilly Stadum, Fargo, ND. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Sally, son Craig, parents and two brothers, Walter and Stretch.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm Tuesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
