Robert F. Hoffman, 68, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at his home in Elkton. He was born June 4, 1941 in Spokane, WA to Robert and Claudia (Marlon) Hoffman. He was educated in Montrose, CO and then enlisted in the US Army on August 11, 1960 and was discharged on August 3, 1966. Bob was married to Judith Ann Lund on May 31, 1980 in Post Falls, ID. They moved to Brookings, SD in 1982 and Bob worked as a communications specialist for Northern Border Pipeline. They moved to Elkton in September of 1990 and he retired in 2004. He was a member of the Glen Stafford American Legion Post #198 in Elkton.

Bob is survived by his wife, Judith, one daughter, Kimberly Marker, Hayden, ID, three stepdaughters, Joni (Alexander) Medina, Big Lake, MN, Robin Hendrickson, Elkton, SD and Kim (Gary) Mast, Arlington, SD; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; 1 sister; Marlene Stewart, Montrose, CO and an aunt, Helen Helm, Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Hoffman III, his parents and 2 brothers, Bill and Norman.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at the chapel.
