Peggy Jane Good Shield, 69, of Flandreau, passed away, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Palisade Healthcare Community, Garretson, SD. Peggy was born April 20, 1947 in Murdo, SD to Clifford and Shirley (Buum) Larson. She grew up in Wood, SD. When Peggy was about two years old she won a baby contest. Her beauty shined inside and out. Peggy loved to sing and would play guitar and tambourine. In 1978 Peggy met the love of her life, Cecil Wayne Long. She had an amazing sense of humor and was always making everyone laugh. More than anything else she loved her family and her family adored her.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Cecil Wayne Long, Flandreau, SD; her children, John Paul (Sissy) Good Shield, Sioux Falls, SD; Cheryl Ann Good Shield, Mission, SD; Walter Charles (Joni) Good Shield, Sioux Falls, SD; Brent Kelly (Bonnie) Good Shield, Tooele, UT; Jamie Allen (Jessica) Long, Pipestone, MN; grandchildren, Orlando, Donna Mae, Orlanna, Brent, Brandi, Feather, Kelli, Lakota, Brandon, Justin, Cassandra, Donna Marie, Nina, Jonas, Dalton, London, Robin, Bailey, Dakohta, Rusty, Kavin, Ashlynne, Michael, Katja, Eva, Kelly Jr, Jalen, and Santino; 23 great-grandchildren, two siblings, Donna Mae Burdick, Marysville, WA and Clarence Keith (Susan) Larson, Rapid City, SD; and her nephews and nieces. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Donna Mae Good Shield.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church,  620 Haines Ave , Rapid City, SD, with burial in Mountain View Cemetery, Rapid City.
