Obituary

Arlene Reeves, 71, of Ward, died Friday at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Olive Arlene Reeves was born on January 14, 1937 to Merele and Louise (Jebsen) Warner in Sioux City, IA. She attended country school in Hinton, IA and graduated from LeMars High School in 1954. Arlene married Cletus Reeves on December 20, 1955. She worked on the family farm and two daughters were born to their union. Following her divorce in 1986 she was employed with HyVee in Marshall, MN until she entered the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls in March of 2007. Arlene enjoyed farming, cooking, being a 4-H leader, doing the demo foods at HyVee and promoting the pork industry. She was a member of the Pipestone County Porkettes, Pipestone County 4-H and Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pipestone.

Arlene is survived by her two daughters, Arlette Reeves and special friend, Joe Heard of Ward, Jan Reeves of Ward and one brother, Wayne Warner, Sioux Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with a private burial in Lake Benton Memorial Hill Cemetery. Visitation begins one hour before the funeral service.
