Obituary
Nona Belle Jensen, 80, of Ventura, CA passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018 at Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles, California. Nona Belle Leigh was born February 26, 1938 to Frederick and Velma (Herold) Leigh, in Norfolk, Nebraska. Nona Belle grew up in Leigh and Bloomfield, Nebraska and moved to Ventura in her early twenties. She took care of her three children and then worked at Vons grocery store for most of her adult life. People always recognized her in the community and she would say, "If you shopped at Vons that's where you know me!" She was a loving friend, sister, mother, grandmother and caretaker. She loved to tell stories about those she loved and always was wondering about the well-being of her friends and loved ones.
Nona Belle is survived by her children, Randel Jensen, Rickey Jensen and Lesa Jensen; six grandchildren, Christopher Jensen, Adam Jensen, David Jensen, Lance Jensen, Nadine Goodwin, and Nathan Vereb; and 7 great grandchildren. Nona Belle was preceded in death by her younger brother David and her parents.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Elkton, SD.
