Myrl B. Hilmoe, 92 of Colman died Thursday at Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Myrl was born July 4, 1916 in Chester, SD to Clarence and Hannah (Ronning) Stangeland. She grew up in Dell Rapids and attended school in Dell Rapids and Baltic. In 1932 Myrl moved to Colman and on September 15, 1937 she married Orlo Hilmoe. They farmed west of Colman for 30 years until his death in 1967 when she moved into Colman. Myrl worked at the Ceal Cafe, Lankil Community Sundries and then at the Colman School for 13 years in the cafeteria. She was a member of Colman Lutheran Church, Colman Ladies Aid, Ruth Circle and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Myrl is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynn Hilmoe, Sioux Falls along with her family; brother, Kenneth Stangeland, Nevada, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Roger J. Hilmoe; parents and two brothers, Arnold Stangeland and Norman Stangeland.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at Colman Lutheran Church with burial in the Colman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Colman.
