Minerva M. Landis, 94, of Colman died Tuesday at the Flandreau Medical Center. Minerva was born on September 15, 1914 on the family farm north of Colman to William and Mary (Dyce) Moore. She graduated from Colman High School in 1933. Minerva married Donald Landis on February 26, 1938 in Sioux Falls. They farmed north of Colman. Donald preceded her in death on August 20, 1999. Minerva continued to live on the farm. She was a member of Midway Lutheran Church of Colman, WELCA, Senior Citizens of Colman and Busy Bee Club. Minerva enjoyed quilting, embroidery and crocheting.

Minerva is survived by three daughters: Delores (Don) Warfield, Riverton, WY, Shirley (Mark) Schoeberl, Lovington NM, Donna Mae (Roger) Pottratz of Bella Vista, AR; son, Robert (Pat) of Colman; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.


Funeral services will be Friday at 2PM at Colman Lutheran Church, Colman with burial in the Colman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8PM on Thursday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Colman.
