Michael J. DeSchepper, 58, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Flandreau Medical Center. Michael was born May 4, 1952 in Pipestone, MN to Stanley and Delores (Emery) DeSchepper. He attended school in Jasper. Mike married Kay Sandbo and attended Pipestone Vocational School and then drove truck. He was married to Valerie Reese on August 1, 1987 in Beaver Creek, MN. He was manager of Lewis Transportation and Dakota Cartage. They moved to Colman in May 1994. Mike was currently driving for Hilltop Trucking. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping.

Mike is survived by his wife, Valerie; three children, Scott (Amy) DeSchepper, Letrobe, PA, Michelle (Don) Armitage, Ligonier, PA, Nicholas (fiancée, Alicia Peterson) DeSchepper, Colman; stepdaughter, Christin (Travis) Griffin, California; 11 grandchildren; eight siblings, Karen Fritz, Redwing, MN, Steve (Diane), Chancellor, SD, Sandy Pedersen, Pipestone, Kathy Holiway, Tracy, MN, Tom (Lori), Pipestone, Terry (Brenda), Bloomington, MN, Todd (Jodi), Spring, TX, Tracy (Billi), Sioux Falls and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa and his parents.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Colman.
