Melissa D. Aadland, 19, of Flandreau died Thursday at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Melissa was born on November 19, 1988 at Rapid City, SD. Melissa received her education in Flandreau, graduating from Flandreau High School in 2007. She was very active in All Nations while in high school. Melissa loved music, computers, friends, and her family especially her nieces and nephews.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Nathaniel and Gloria (VerSluys) Aadland; brothers and sisters, Andrew (Delliree), Brookings; Anthony, Flandreau; Amanda, Sioux Falls; Mike (Martha), Sioux Falls, Miranda, Sioux Falls; nieces and nephews: Dayliah, Isaiah, Elijah, Mathias, Ruby, Omega, Mike Jr. and her grandparents: Donald and Evelyn Houk, Rapid City.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at11am at Second Presbyterian Church, Flandreau with burial in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5pm Monday at Skroch Funeral Chapel with a 7pm scripture service.
