Mavis L. Headrick, 94, passed away July 28, 2022, at Good Samaritan Village, Sioux Falls, SD. Mavis was born January 5, 1928, to Albert and Ruby (Keller) Theel at Elkton, SD. She received her education in Elkton. Mavis married Dean Headrick on June 6, 1948, in  Elkton. They lived in Sioux Falls, SD and then moved to Brandon, SD in 1958. Mavis worked part-time at the Brandon Golf Course. Her husband preceded her in death on January 11, 2015, and she moved to Mitchell in 2017. Mavis enjoyed sewing for others, golfing, bowling, playing cards, spending time with neighbors, friends, and family, and attending her grandkids activities.

Mavis is survived by her daughter Darci (Don) Hegg, Mitchell, SD; son Rodney (Jo), Omaha, NE; grandchildren Amanda, Alex, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, and her sister Joyce Cornelius, Mankato, MN. Mavis was preceded in death by her husband Dean, granddaughter Tiffany, parents and sister Vivian.

Private services were held Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
