Mary E. Myers, 80, formerly of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Riverview Healthcare Community in Flandreau. Mary was born March 11, 1938 at Flandreau, SD, to George and Anna (Hemmer) Kramer. She grew up in the Flandreau area and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1956. Mary was united in marriage to Virgil E. Myers on September 29, 1956 in Flandreau. They made their home in Sioux Falls, SD. Mary worked at Sears and later attended Southeast Area and attained her LPN license. She worked at Avera McKennan hospital until her retirement. She was active in the South Dakota LPN Association and served on the South Dakota Board of Nursing. Mary was an avid reader, great cook and a gracious hostess to all.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Kevin (Chris) of Elkton, SD and Theresa Myers of Sioux Falls, SD, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers, George and Jim, and brothers-in-law, Merle Myers and Harold Weins. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; daughter and son-in-law, Janet (Harry) Bockorny, and siblings Ed, Tom, John, Sam, Margaret, Norbert and Louie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Visitation will be Monday from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. scripture service at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
