Marvin N.T. Lee, 92, of Little Canada, MN, passed away May 31, 2018. Marvin was born on August 25, 1925 in Flandreau, SD, and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1943. After graduating from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Marvin served in the U.S. Navy as an Ensign from July 1943-July 1946. He was honorably discharged from active duty and was awarded the Victory Ribbon World War II and the American Theater Ribbon. He continued serving in the Navy reserves achieving the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade before retiring from service in 1959. After his active Navy service, he moved back closer to home to enroll at the University of Minnesota, earning a Master's degree in mechanical engineering in 1948. He was employed at a private engineering firm in Duluth, MN, before moving on to Oliver Mining in Eveleth, MN; 3M in St. Paul; and finally retiring from the Minnesota Department of Health in 1990 after 20 years of employment. Marvin met his wife, Peggy, in Duluth. They were married for 62 years. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin he built in northern Minnesota; as well as spending time with his family and friends. Marvin loved to travel and adventured throughout the United States and around the world, visiting 20 countries with his wife. He was active in Kiwanis for many years until his Alzheimer's diagnosis.

Marvin is survived by his wife Peggy (nee Donaghy); children, Brian, Gary (Anne), Diane (Bruce) Johnson; grandchildren, McKenzie, Aubrey, Stephanie, Christy Lee, Adam and Melissa Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Eileen Jewett and Wilma Christensen and six brothers, Louis, Erwin, Milo "Mike", Robert, Raymond and Vernon.

There will be a brief visitation at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
