Marvin D. Hansen, 76, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at Riverview Manor in Flandreau. Marvin was born August 15, 1933 in Flandreau to Otto and Minna (Siefert) Hansen. He attended Smythe Country School and completed his education in Flandreau. Marvin worked on the family farm until moving into Flandreau in 1964. On September 9, 2003 he became a resident at the Riverview Manor. Marvin enjoyed playing bingo, cards and collecting antiques.

Marvin is survived by 2 brothers, Ed Hansen Sr., Ralph (Glenda) Hansen all of Flandreau; 9 nieces and nephews, Judy (Jim) Peterson, Janet (Berle) Johnson, Ed Hansen, Jr., JoAnn Sundermeyer, Joyce Doyle, Wesley Hansen, Tom Hansen, Karla (Brad) Bjerke and Kim Hansen all of Flandreau. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank Hansen.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau with burial at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 PM Monday with family present from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
