Lorraine Anna-Marie (Dreessen) Crouch, 84, of Flandreau, SD, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at her home. Lorraine was born on February 27, 1937 to Ervin and Agnes (Tutje) Dreessen in Osceola County, at the home of her Dreessen grandparents. She grew up three miles north of Sibley, IA and attended Wilson #4 Country School. She then attended Sibley High before graduating from Luverne, MN in 1955. On July 10, 1955, Lorraine was united in marriage to her sweetheart, Jack Jay Crouch, in Luverne and the couple had four children. The Crouch family called several other communities "home", including: Primghar, IA; Worthington, MN; Rushmore, MN; Pipestone, MN; Browns Valley, MN; Trimont, MN; and Baltic, SD, before planting roots in Flandreau, SD. Lorraine made lifelong friends every place they lived, keeping up with and making a point to visit each of them throughout the years. In her working life, Lorraine held several titles—waitress for some small-town cafés, including the West Inn Café in Flandreau, baker at the Flandreau Bakery, and most importantly, homemaker for her family.

Lorraine was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Flandreau where she was active as Circle Chairman and an Altar Guild Member. She was also a past member of the Eastern Star. She was a very social lady who enjoyed her coffee groups and quilting circle. She had a love of genealogy, birdwatching, and travelling. In March of 2021, Lorraine crossed an item off her bucket list, touring all 50 states, after she travelled to West Virginia.  Lorraine will be remembered for her friendly, loving personality, and her genuine interest in getting to know others.

Lorraine is survived by two children: Noreen (Dexter) Jorgensen, Burbank, SD; Alan (Theresa) Crouch, Mapleton, MN; daughters-in-law: Jacqueline Crouch, Janesville, MN; and Lori Crouch, Albert Lea, MN; grandchildren: Nathanial, Nicholas, Danial, Rachel, Heather, Ashley, Christa, Kelley, Kerrey, Jossette, Jonathan, and Jacob; 15 great-grandchildren; four siblings: Herman (Barb) Dreessen, Oak Harbor, WA; Marvin Dreessen, Port Orchard, WA; Dale (Darlene) Dreessen, Luverne, MN; and Gary (Yvonne) Dreessen, Graham, WA; special friends: Chad, Jane, Melissa and Eric Kono; and many other nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Jay Crouch (February 7, 1997); two sons, Jason and Michael Crouch; and one sister Dianne (LeRoy) Thompson.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Flandreau, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am.
