Loraine K. Albers, 88, died Saturday at Riverview Manor. She was born April 11, 1920 near Armour, SD to Herman and Dolly (Clausen) Arionus. She received her education in country schools near Armour. Loraine married Harry Albers in Sioux Falls on August 11, 1945. They lived in Trent, Colman and moved to Flandreau in 1950. She worked as a waitress at the Pantry Cafe and had an in-home laundry service. She worked at Dakota Industries in Flandreau and later in Dell Rapids. Her husband preceded her in death on February 16, 1997. Loraine became a resident at Riverview Manor in April 2007.

Loraine is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Susan), Trent and Terry (special friend, Cindy), Flandreau; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Albers, Oldham; one grandson, Glenn, Oldham; three granddaughters, Lori (Gary) Krogman, Oldham, Kimber Lee, Sioux Falls, Billie Jo (Nate) Olson, Colman; two great-grandchildren, Kristopher and Casey Krogman, Madison, SD; two sisters, Vi Coles and Phyllis (Ed) Krempges, both of Yankton; and a sister-in-law, Violet Arionus, Trent. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; a son, Curt; her parents; a brother, Leland Arionus and a brother-in-law, Merle Coles.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5:00 pm Tuesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
