Linda Lou Johnson, 65, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Madison, SD, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, at the Avera Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Linda was born November 14, 1952 at Pipestone, MN, to Lyle and Reva (Dougherty) Smith. They lived in Flandreau where Linda received her education. Linda married to Kenneth "Danny" Johnson in 1970. They lived in Madison, SD, where she owned a ceramics shop and taught lessons in the 70's-80's. She also owned the Carousel Consignment Store in Madison. Working at the Costal Mart in Madison was one of Linda's most enjoyable jobs as she was able to see all the kids in Madison, many of which referred to her as "mom." In the mid 1990's she moved to Rapid City for a few years and then moved back to Flandreau to be closer to family. Linda moved to Sioux Falls in the early 2000's. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking.

Linda is survived by her son, Gary (Lisa) Johnson, Madison, SD; daughter, Danelle Johnson, Sioux Falls; sister, Sharon Loiseau, Watertown, SD; brother, Gary Smith, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Jadon, Grace, Parker, Cale, Cooper, Sophia; and her special cousin, Doris Eide, Flandreau. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, William "Bill" Loiseau.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
