Leola M. Fenicle, 97, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Flandreau. She was born September 4, 1918 near Waverly, SD to Ralph and Flora (Roberts) Mogle. Her family moved to Pipestone County, MN where she received her early education. They moved to Moody County, SD where she completed her schooling at Hess Country School. Leola married Dale Fenicle on December 5, 1939 at Pipestone, MN. They farmed southeast of Flandreau, SD. Her husband preceded her in death on May 1, 1959. Leola moved to Egan, SD in 1966 and she worked at Prairie Junction and the Corner Cafe in Flandreau. Leola moved to Sioux Falls and then became a resident at Riverview Manor in Flandreau on September 21, 2011. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, Egan Senior Citizens and was an avid Twins fan.

Leola is survived by six children, Eunice Smallfield, Brookings, Eldon (Nancy) and Lyle (Sid), both of Sioux Falls, Kenneth, Bend, OR, Gary (Nancy), Sioux Falls, Leslie (Lynda) Baltic, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and one brother George Mogle, Miller, SD. Leola was preceded in death by her husband Dale, daughter Deloris "Dee", grandson Bryan, sister Beulah Hay, and her parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
