Kenneth L. Peatross, 76, died December 4, 2013. Ken Peatross was born in Leavenworth, KS on August 25, 1937 to Harry and Anita (Harrison) Peatross. He attended college in Denver, CO for teaching and then moved to Littleton, CO where he met his wife, Nancy Ann Hales where they both had teaching positions. They were married on December 2, 1961. They moved to Hibbing, MN and then to Marshall, MN in 1970 where he took a position teaching at Southwest Minnesota State University. In 1975 they moved to White Bear Lake, MN where he took a position on the Board of Education for the MN school system. Ken and his family were members of the Episcopal Church of Saint John in the Wilderness, White Bear Lake. Nancy preceded him death on October 25, 1996. Ken is survived by 2 sons, Doug, Halton, TX, John (Nicole), Marine on St. Croix, 2 granddaughters, Jayda and Selena Peatross, brother in law, Harlan (Dolly) Hales, Flandreau, SD, 2 nephews Paul (Shelly) Hales, Homer Hales and 1 great nephew, Branden Hales. Ken was preceded by his wife and parents. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 with burial in Union Cemetery, Flandreau.
