Jule A. Anderson, 83, of Flandreau, SD, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Avera Flandreau Hospital. Jule was born June 8, 1933 at Wahoo, NE to Elmer and Allie (Robinson) Anderson. He received his education in Malmo and Wahoo, NE. Jule worked as a projectionist at the theatre in Wahoo and in construction building houses. He then married Doloris Strigow and he worked for the City of San Diego. Jule married Leanna Walcow on January 11, 1975 in San Diego, CA. He retired in 1977 and they moved to Bradshaw, NE for ten years and in 1987 to Wahoo, NE where he continued to work as a long haul truck driver until 2006. They moved to Flandreau on July 11, 2012. Jule was a member of Flandreau United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking and his dog Susie.

Jule is survived by his wife Leanna, Flandreau; two daughters, Katherine (Dick) Elder, Inverness, FL; Susan K. Vitik, La Mesa, CA; two stepsons, John (Sharon) Duncan, Flandreau; David (Yolanda) Duncan, Ramona, CA; three grandsons, Jeff, Steve, Kevin; three step-grandchildren, Shawna, Jeremy, Veronica; three great-grandchildren, Yvonna, Elese, David, six step-great-grandchildren, Peyton, Avery, Luke, Hadley, Aston, Arianna; two brothers, Jack (Betty) Anderson, Branson, MO; Curtis (Michel) Anderson, San Diego; sister Sharon (Toby Bode) McCabe, Fremont, NE; and brother-in-law Earl Foster, York, NE. Jule was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan, and half-brother Lewis Grant.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Flandreau United Methodist Church with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Memorials to Flandreau United Methodist Church, Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
