Joyce Ellen Moore, 86, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Riverview Manor, Flandreau. She was born September 18, 1925 in Redwood County, MN to Victor and Ellen (Fell) Frank. She received her education in Wabasso County, MN and then attended Mankato Business College. Joyce moved to Sioux Falls where she worked at John Morrell & Co. in the bookkeeping department. Joyce married Albert Moore October 21, 1950 at her parent's home in Paynesville, MN. Her husband was in the service so they moved to Atlanta, GA and then Huntsville, AL until returning to Flandreau after his discharge in 1953. Joyce raised her family and then was a nurse's aide at the Flandreau Municipal Hospital, a waitress at West End Cafe and then was a bookkeeper for Moore's Roofing and Ekern Home Equipment until she retired. Joyce was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMW, M & M Birthday Club and was a former 4-H leader. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, fishing, reading, doing family history, cooking, entertaining family, letter writing and playing cards.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Albert; three daughters, Patricia (Rodney) Reiff, Northfield, MN, Anita (Conrad) Leighton, White Bear Lake, MN, Bette-Jo (James) Johnson, Roseville, MN; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Snyder, Long Prairie, MN and Ruby (Leslie) Snyder, Paynesville, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Vern, Glen and Ray and one sister Jean.

Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the United Methodist Church, Flandreau, with burial in Colman Cemetery, Colman. Visitation begins at 4:00 pm Friday with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
