Jerome L. Peter, 72, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home in Flandreau. Jerome was born March 13, 1940 in Bruce, SD to Ben and Gertrude (Fasbender) Peter. He graduated from Bruce High School and after graduation Jerome moved to Denver, CO and was a graphic designer. Jerome married Dianna Perry on August 22, 1991 in Sioux Falls, SD. They lived in Flandreau, SD where he worked as a painter. He retired in 2004 and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Jerome was a member of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

Jerome is survived by his wife Dianna, three children, Sandra Peter, San Francisco, Pam (Mike) Potter, Denver, Warren Peter, Phoenix, step-daughter Stephanie (Jerry) Taylor, Sioux Falls, seven grandchildren, Chris, Jessie, Brianna, Adam, Stephanie, Ashley and Brandon, one brother Bernard Peter, Denver and nieces and nephews. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Monday, January 7, 2013 at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis DeSales Catholic Cemetery, Estelline.
