Jean Ann Green, 73, of Flandreau, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls. Jean was born October 12, 1941, on a farm in Brookings County, SD to Elmer and Evelyn (Cochran) Engelbrecht. She was baptized Methodist. She received her education in Flandreau graduating from Flandreau High School in 1959. Jean married Ronald Green in Flandreau on May 23, 1964. She was employed at the Avera Flandreau Hospital for 47 years. Jean was a member of Flandreau United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Flandreau Hospital Auxiliary. Her hobbies were quilting and sewing, reading, and puzzles. She volunteered at the Breadbasket, Meals-on-Wheels, Avera Flandreau Capital Campaign (building project 2012 – 2014), missions at the Methodist Church and helping people when needed.

Jean is survived by her son Brian (Beverly) Green, Treynor, IA, daughter Bridget Green, Sioux Falls, three grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth and Allison Green, four sisters, Janet (Francis) Flemming, Watertown, SD, Joyce (John) Finley, Volga, SD, Jerilyn (Lester) Kramer, Elkton, SD, Judy (Jerry) Miller, Volga, SD, mother-in-law Dorothy Green, Flandreau, brother-in-law Leonard (Elaine) Green, Plant City, FL, sister-in-law Edith Hansen, Manitou Springs, CO, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Joe.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Flandreau United Methodist Church, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation is 5 – 7 pm Friday with a 7 pm prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
