Janet Good Face, 54, of Flandreau, SD passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Janet Marie Shead was born on May 25, 1962 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Daniel and Patricia (Sheble) Shead. She attended school in Kansas City and graduated from Ward High School in 1980. She went to college at Bethany Medical and received an Associate's Degree in Radiology. She worked in the healthcare field and loved her job. In 1987 Janet and Colin welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Kelly. In 1998 she and her daughter, Kelly, moved to Flandreau, SD. Janet worked at the Royal River Casino until declining health required her to give up her job. Janet enjoyed sewing, shopping, attending pow wows, going to the movies, and being outside. Spending time with family was very important to Janet. She truly loved her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Wayne) Pitsenberger of Flandreau, SD; three grandchildren, Jimmy, Caleb, and Julie Pitsenberger; mother, Pat Shead of Kansas City, KS; sister, Carol (Idalberto) Shead-Gonzalez of Kansas City, KS; two brothers, Dr. Daniel Shead and Steve (Nicole) Shead both of Kansas City, MO; niece, Patrice Gonzalez; nephews, Nelso (Brooke) Gonzalez and Danny 'DJ' Shead; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Janet was preceded in death by her father, Daniel; maternal and paternal grandparents; and two uncles.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at the shelter behind the Japanese Gardens, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017.
