James E. Pasch, 72, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at his home in Flandreau. Jim was born on September 9, 1937 in Groton, SD to Ervin E. and Lorraine (Voigt) Pasch. He attended school in Groton, Waubay, Egan and graduated from Flandreau High School in 1955. Jim entered the US Army in January 1961 and was honorably discharged in January 1963. Jim married Lois Lausen on April 1, 1961 in St. Lawrence, SD. After his discharge, he returned to Flandreau and worked at Flandreau Community Oil and became the manager in 1965 until 1989. He then worked for Bett's Auto Service in Sioux Falls and retired from there in 1998. Jim was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Flandreau. He liked to fish, hunt and play cards.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lois, Flandreau; 3 children, Janice (Jim) Jones, Flandreau, Dennis Pasch, Sioux Falls, Mary Pasch, Sioux Falls; 3 grandchildren, Courtney, Preston and Tyler Jones all of Flandreau; 1 great-granddaughter, Ryah; 1 sister, Darlys (LaVern) Thompson, Sioux Falls and 1 brother, Ray (Ellen) Pasch, Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
