James "Jim" Loy Lindberg, 77, of Renner, SD passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Jim was born October 15, 1944 in Milbank, SD to Walter and Florence (Shanstrom) Lindberg. He grew up on a farm near Troy, SD and attended school in Troy through the eighth grade. He went on the road combining in Texas and then worked as a foreman for Sweetman Construction, Marlo's Transmission Service, and then started his own business, Jim's Automatic Transmission Service in Sioux Falls, SD. In 1980 he met his best friend and soulmate, Juve Ann Kneebone, and they were married July 31, 1982 in Flandreau SD. They lived in Sioux Falls until moving to Renner in 1997. Jim and Juve Ann enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and family for the 42 years they were together. They bought a home near Chamberlain, SD where they enjoyed watching and feeding the deer. They enjoyed racing with family and friends and watching the #7 sprint car at Rock Rapids, Huset's and Hartford Speedways. Jim retired in 2015 and was inducted into Huset's Hall of Fame in 2021.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife Juve Ann; six children, Lynette Floren, Cedar Rapids, IA; Dale Lindberg, Sioux Falls; Doug Lindberg, Big Stone City, SD; Dennis (Hope) Lindberg, Strandburg; Nichole Weber, Dell Rapids, SD; Jeremy (Jen) Lindberg, Sioux Falls; 18 grandchildren, Amber, Melissa, Jesse, Doug, Jr., Desiree, Ridge, Ashley, Devon, Halie, Gracie, Kelsey, Danny, Devon, Jackson, Kyra, Layla, Harley, Kameron; 10 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Barbara Keener, Cleone Pekelder, and Terry (Charlotte) Lindberg; as well as a host of family, friends, and racing family. Jim was preceded in death by two sons, Don and David, and his parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 11, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Livestream will be available. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
