Helen Katherine Herbert, 93, of Vadalia,GA died on Friday, July 16, 2010. Helene was born December 17, 1916 to Edward and Meta (Kiecksee) Zarecky. She graduated from Flandreau High School in 1936 and was united in marriage to Richard Herbert on March 29, 1937 at Egan. Richard preceded her in death on February 3, 1999. Helene lived for many years in Johnson City, TN.

Helene is survived by one son R. Keith Herbert, Conyers, GA, three daughters, Kathleen Buder, Knoxville, TN, Teri Lynn Herbert, Charleston, SC and Barbara Helene (Howard) Hill Vidalia, three grandaughters, Helene, Susan and Sarah and one grandson, R. Thomas.

Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Visitation begins at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
