Hazel Lindholm, 89 of Peoria, AZ formerly of Colman, SD went peacefully in her sleep to be with her Savior on January 17, 2009 in Peoria, AZ. Hazel Elna Christensen Lindholm was born on April 14, 1919 in rural Lake County, SD to Carl A. and Katrina (Nelson) Jensen. She attended school in Chester and was married to Milo Christensen in 1935. Their marriage was blessed with 3 daughters, Marlene, Judy and Vicki. Hazel and Milo farmed in the Chester area and in 1940 moved to the Colman area where they farmed and lived until Milo's death in 1954. In 1959 Hazel married Elvin Lindholm. They lived on her farm north of Colman until Elvin died in 1969. She moved into Colman in 1995 and later moved to the Wakonda Heritage Manor where she lived from January 2006 until May 2007 when she moved to Peoria, AZ to live with her daughter, Judy. Hazel was a member of the Colman Lutheran Church for most of her life where she was involved in several ministries.

Hazel is survived by daughter, Judy Zocco, Peoria, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Ed Amundsen, KS, Mark Zocco, AZ, Brett Beckman, FL, Johnny Wright, AL, Terry Amundsen, SD, Tammy Tolbert, AZ, Robin Zocco, AZ; 7 great-grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy and Abigail Amundsen, Andrew Amundsen, Lauren Beckman, Janet Erickson, Dallas Tolbert; dearest extended family, Mark, Cathy, Lindsey, Brianna and Kristen Schultz. She was preceded in death her 2 husbands; parents; 3 siblings, Carrie Jensen, Vivian Larson, Sonny Jensen; 2 daughters, Vicki Christensen, Marlene Amundsen; 2 grandchildren, Debbie Wright, Jeff Amundsen and extended family member, John Toates.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2009, 11:00 AM, Colman Lutheran Church with burial in the Colman Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Colman, with the family present from 4-7pm.
