Harriet A. Sellevold, 89, died on February 19, 2010 in Texas. Harriet was born on October 26, 1920, near Woodstock, MN to Arthur and Emma Birkhofer. She was united in marriage to Holger Sellevold on July 22, 1946, which was Holger's 41st birthday. Their son Arthur was born the following year on July 22. She is preceded in death by her husband, an infant son at birth, her parents, and brother, Howard.

She is survived by her son Arthur and his partner Parker Day, Duncanville, TX; brother Glenn and wife Katherine, Lansing, MI; sister-in-law Florence Birkhofer, Luverne, MN; brother-in-law, Rev. A.R. Sellevold and wife Arlie, Slayton, MN; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins, The family farmed in MN until moving to Dallas in 1968 where Holger and Harriet worked several years at the Prestonwood and Columbian country clubs before retiring.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau with burial in Union Cemetery, Flandreau. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
