Harold E. Dagel, 66, of Elkton, died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at his home in Elkton.

Harold was born September 16, 1942 at Pipestone, MN to Elsworth and Esther (Pollock) Dagel. He received his education in Pipestone and then started working road construction. Harold married Kristi VerSluys on Aug 24, 1984 at Fort Collins, CO. Harold worked most of his career in Colorado until retiring in 2004 and moving to Elkton.

Harold is survived by his wife, Kristi, son Aric Dagel, Loveland, CO; a stepdaughter, Kara Dagel, Cheyenne, WY; a stepson, Kori, Grand Island, NE; a sister, Judy Nissen, Elkton; and 3 brothers: Richard (Julie) Dagel, Omaha, NE, Darwin (Sandy) Dagel, Holland, MN and Michael (Lora) Dagel, Foley, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Helen, a brother, Milo an infant sister, Lois and an infant brother, James.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
