Grace E. Bell, 102 of Flandreau, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Riverview Health Community, Flandreau. Grace was born May 7, 1913 in Flandreau, SD to William A. and Florence (Spaulding) Lathrop. She attended Lathrop Country School and graduated from the School of Agriculture in 1932. Grace married Mark Beach September 1933 and they had three children, Marcella, Carol, and Vera. Later she married Olaf Nold on January 8, 1955. They were custodians at the United Methodist Church for 12 years. Olaf preceded her in death on December 19, 1986. Grace was an avid bird watcher and kept bird counts and had an impressive life list. She liked to travel, did sewing for the public for 21 years, and enjoyed crewel work and water colors. Grace married Henry Bell on June 20, 1992 and he passed away June 26, 1998. Grace was a member of the United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid, R.N.A., Garden Club, Busy Bees and Senior Citizens.

Grace is survived by two daughters, Marcella (Bob) Hauswald, Sioux Falls, Carol (John) Gillespie, Gardnerville, NV, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Grace was preceded in death by her husbands, daughter Vera, one granddaughter, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, her parents, one sister, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, September 4, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, Flandreau, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation is 5 -7 pm Thursday at Skroch Funeral Chapel.
