Gordon Leroy Drewes

Gordon Leroy Drewes, 71, of Arlington, SD, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation with the family present will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau, SD.

Gordon was born on April 9, 1955, to Dale and Mary (Crapser) Drewes.

He lived on his family farm outside of Arlington, South Dakota. Throughout his life, he worked in various mechanic and construction positions.

Gordon enjoyed playing solitaire each morning, watching the wildlife around the farm, tinkering on cars and motorcycles, listening to the Farmer's Market Report, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his life partner, Louise Drewes; his children, Shawn Drewes, Casey Drewes, Tasha (Rick) Passenheim, Tina (Kolton) Gomes, and Jesse (Taylor) Drewes; and his grandchildren, Devin, Hannah, Ava, Ensley, and Evelyn Drewes; Austin Goetzke and Marlee Passenheim; Jack and Landon Gomes; and Amelia and Sophia Drewes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Mary (Crapser) Drewes, and his brother, Dean Drewes.
