Glenn Todd Johnson, 57, of Sioux Falls, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Sanford USD Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. Glenn was born July 18, 1961 to Joel and Doris (Ovrid) Johnson in Flandreau, SD. He attended Trent Elementary School and Flandreau High School. He loved farming and helped Larry Johnson with his farming operation. Then Glenn lived in Valley Springs and worked for Happy Hogs. He also worked at Preferred Stripping and Refinishing with his brother Doug (Auger). Then he worked for Sauer Painting in Sioux Falls and his last job was with Elston Manufacturing. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and Minnesota Twins fan.
Glenn is survived by his brother Douglas L. (Mary) Johnson; niece Jodi Clark; Mrs. Ronald (Lynette) Johnson; nephew Jesse (Jenn) Johnson; great-nieces, Ashlen and Ayleah; great-nephew Trey; niece Missy (Derrick) Schafer; great-nephews, Drake, Teegan, Braxton; aunts, Bernice Hermanson Crawford and Hilda Johnson; cousins, Ann LeClair, Linda Johnson and many other cousins, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his very dear friends from Elston Manufacturing.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Doris Johnson; brother, Senior Correctional Officer Ronald E. Johnson; grandparents, Edward and Alice Ovrid, John and Luella Johnson and his aunt Evelyn Armijo. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ava's Hospice House and the oncology nurses at Sanford.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. Burial will be at Lone Rock Cemetery, rural Flandreau.
