Obituary
Glen L. Anderson, 89, of Elkton, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at Riverview Healthcare Community in Flandreau, under hospice care. Glen Louis Anderson was born June 25, 1928 the son of Louis and Iva (Waage) Anderson. He attended country school through the 8
th
grade and then helped his dad farm. He was united in marriage to Joyce Irene Christopherson on Feb 24, 1949. They lived in the Elkton area, spent one year in Rapid City, and moved back to Elkton to settle on their farm. Glen loved attending country western dances and entertainment at the casino, all things related to farming, talking with friends, bowls of vanilla ice cream, watching the news and visits from family.
Glen is survived by his children, Jim Anderson of Elkton and Pat (Rick) Ehret of McMinnville, Oregon; grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Quincy, Krystal (John) DeMay, Brooke (Ryan) Anderson, Jade (Holden) House all of McMinnville, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Caden, Hailey, Emma Joyce, Molly, Elle and Louis; and sisters, Virginia Jensen and Irene Hofer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce in February 2013; infant daughter; his parents; two sisters, Lorraine and Dorothy; and one brother, Kenny.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with burial in Calvary Cemetery near Hendricks, MN. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau.
