Gerald L. "Jerry" Wittrock, 80, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Flandreau, SD passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at Good Samaritan Lutheran Manor in Sioux Falls. Jerry was born on August 27, 1939 in Sioux Falls, SD to Roy and Minnie (Bakker) Wittrock. He graduated from Washington High School in 1958. Jerry married Sandra Pulscher on November 14, 1972 in Flandreau. Jerry was a field mechanic for Caterpillar for twelve years until 1972 when he began a venture as owner and operator of the Chevrolet dealership in Flandreau. In 1981, he sold the dealership and began selling GMC medium duty trucks for Prostrollo and then Sioux Falls Kenworth. In 2001, Jerry went back into business for himself purchasing Schwan's trucks to refurbish and sell. During this time, he also drove pilot cars for transporting wind blades. Jerry retired from his endeavors in 2011, and in September 2018, moved to Sioux Falls with his wife. Jerry enjoyed reading, wood carving, four-wheeling, and rebuilding his 1954 Chevy truck.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra Wittrock, Sioux Falls; two children, Christine (Lauren) Greenhoff, Dell Rapids; and Scott (Shelly), Hartford; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Abigail, Blaine, and Carson; and one sister, Darlene (Jack) Rollings, Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Raymond.

A public visitation, without family present, will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 5-7 pm at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau. Social distance practices will be encouraged. Private family services will be held with a burial at Union Cemetery, Flandreau.
